Which scoreboards work with ScoreRelay

ScoreRelay targets six major scoreboard manufacturers, but support rolls out model by model and connector by connector. Below is exactly what's fully working today, what's in active testing, and what's still in development.

Several connectors, adapters included

ScoreRelay listens on the same physical connector your controller already uses, so installation is usually one cable. Adapters ship with the unit for whichever connector your model needs.

  • 1/4 in TRS: the quarter-inch audio-style jack several controllers use for their data output
  • DB25: the 25-pin data connector some Daktronics installs use
  • RS232: the serial data connector OES and Varsity controllers use
  • RJ45: the networking-style jack on All American controllers
  • 4-pin XLR: a locking round connector used on some OES controllers
  • 5-pin DIN: a locking round connector used on some Varsity controllers

Not every connector for every manufacturer is ready today. See the status table below for exactly which connector is supported, in testing, or still in development for your model.

Controllers by manufacturer and connector

Support is tracked per connector, not just per manufacturer. A controller can be fully supported over one connector and still in testing over another.

Models in testing are running in the field but have not accumulated enough game-night hours across enough sites for us to call them fully supported yet. Contact us before ordering if your venue depends on one of these.

In-development rows are not yet available on any unit. Do not pre-order expecting one of these to work at delivery. Contact us for a timeline before you commit.

Wireless

Today, wireless controller decoding is supported for one system: Daktronics 5000 series over its Gen 6 wireless link, listed above alongside its wired connectors. Wireless decoding for other manufacturers is not yet available.

Separately, an RM024-based Wireless Bridge Kit is planned after initial launch, pairing two ScoreRelay units to get decoded data off a controller with no network access. That's a different feature from controller decoding itself. See how the wireless bridge works.
